What Are You Counting On?

Day 23 of Counting the Omer:
Why this strange ritual commanded by יהוה ? [Lev 23:10-17]

This is in anticipation of the second grain harvest, the wheat harvest of late spring/early summer.

All of this is associated with Resurrection. The first sheaf wave offering was conducted on the 1st day of the week, the one that falls after the weekly Sabbath during the 7 days of Passover [because there are seven days of Passover, one of those is going to be a Sabbath; the next day, the first day of the week, [sun day on the Roman calendar most follow] is the First Omer, commonly known as “Firstfruits.” Yeshua arose out of She’ol on the very beginning of that day. Since Biblical days BEGIN at SUNDOWN, this was late on Saturday night during a ritual called “Havdallah”, which means “to separate/ make distinct,” and is the closing out of the Sabbath to enter into a new week.

As such, Messiah, the First “Omer” or sheaf of barley, needed to be presented before יהוה, His Father, as that first Omer. We see this happening, when we understand what that means and study the Resurrection in this context.

Miriam is the first to see Messiah, very, very early on the morning of the first day of the week; she tries to cling to Him, but He says, “Do not touch me, for I have not yet ascended to my Father.”

Later, before the sun goes down on that first day, all the Talmidim are gathered together, and Yeshua appears in their midst, and He shows them his hands and His side. They can now touch Him. Why? He had presented Himself in the Most Holy Place as the final “khatat” or “sin offering,” as the FIRSTFRUITS from among the dead. [ Heb 9:12, 1 Cor 15:20-23 ].

This was the beginning of the counting of the Omer, which the Talmidim surely would have been doing.

During this time of counting, Messiah appeared to them many times [likely once every day, until the last week! ]

It is during this time that He firmed their understanding and “sent” them to go into all the world. [Shalakh lahem, an apostle being a “Shaliakh,” a “Sent one”. ] He made sure Kefa understood that he was to “FEED MY SHEEP.” Why? Kefa had a tendency toward self-preservation, and needed to learn that his life would be spent for others, just as Messiah’s had. They all had to understand this, but Kefa seemed to have the “hardest” time with this!

Yeshua fed the Talmidim breakfast during this time. There are several references to eating during this time. Why? During the week leading up to this time, Jews eat only Matzah, “unleavened bread,” which has to be creatively made tasty, and is not as filling as other breads. Also, the only fresh grain available in the very early spring is the Barley of the first sheaf offering, the first grain to ripen. So, early spring breads were also not very filling during that first 50 days. The season of counting the Omer is in anticipation of a FULL HARVEST of WHEAT and the rest of the grains of Israel. After that harvest, breads became very “heavy” and very “FILLING,” because they were then made out of many grains, legumes, etc.

That is the theme of this whole season: FULLNESS.

We count the ‘days’ of the Omer, to make sure we count the weeks, the SHAVUOT, of the Omer. We count SEVEN shavuot [weeks]. After 7 weeks are counted, which puts us back at a “sat day” night, on that last night the FIFTIETH DAY is counted, and when the sun rises, there are TWO FULL LOAVES of bread which are now presented as a “wave offering”, “LIFTED UP” before יהוה .

The first wave offering was ‘small’, made of only one grain. This is seen in Yeshua and the few K’doshim [set apart ones, Matt 27:52] who were raised from the dead on that first evening. This was a small harvest of “Jewish souls” only. The second, ‘multi-grain’ harvest occurred fifty days later, that of wheat and the other grains. [oats, etc]. This was celebrated on that 50th day, with two very large loaves, representing the late “spring” harvest of the ‘nations,’ with souls from other nations being ‘saved’ on that day.

This is seen in Acts chapter 2. There were Jews AND proselytes, meaning Gentiles who had converted to Judaism, who were there that day in Yerushalayim FOR THE FEAST OF SHAVUOT [weeks, counting the omer]. They heard the message as FIRE [also a part of the rituals of Shavuot] fell from the heavens and Kefa “lifted up” Yeshua before them.

THEY WERE FILLED. Those Jews and converted Gentiles were the two “FULL LOAVES” of bread ‘lifted up’ TOGETHER, as ONE OFFERING, that day!

The MOEDIM [feasts, appointment days] of יהוה ALL tell us the story of Messiah and His Ministry.

This is NOT the last harvest, but together, the First Omer and the Bikkurim [Firstfruits] of the 50th day of Shavuot are the “FORMER RAIN”, the “SPRING RAIN”, and the beginning of the harvest season. Shaul called Yeshua “Firstfruits,” but he also called the early believers firstfruits! [Romans 8:23] So did Ya’akov [James, 1:18]. These are the “bookends” of the whole SEASON of “firstfruits”, from the First Omer of Barley to the “Bikkurim” [firstfruits] of Shavuot. One season, two harvests of firstfruits.

After the wheat harvest, a long summer is endured, and at the end of the summer, right when fall begins, the LAST harvest is celebrated, the harvest of the fruit trees. During the summer, this harvest is anticipated, and there is a count of forty days that begins with the start of the sixth month of the year that began before Pesakh [Passover]. So, in the sixth month, another season begins called “Elul”, and the days are counted up to Yom Kippur, forty days. This is the season of “RETURN”, “T’shuvah”, or “REPENTANCE.”
In the biblical, Jewish mind, repentance means RETURN TO TORAH. This is the “season” that represents Eliyahu’s ministry. Yeshua said Eliyahu must come again, and “RETURN” the hearts of fathers and children to one another, restoring the “right order”. Eliyahu will be TWO PROPHETS this time. [Rev 11]

During this season of Teshuvah there are 10 TERRIBLE DAYS!
Yom Teruah [known as Rosh HaShannah] to Yom Kippur is ten days, and they are known as TERRIBLE DAYS.

Since Yom Teruah is the “Day that NO MAN KNOWS”, and is therefore 2 days long, then there are 7 TERRIBLE DAYS Between these two days.

During these 7 Terrible Days, the High Priest sequestered Himself with His Bride in a ‘secret’ room in preparation for the Judgment of Yom Kippur. Yeshua is going to do the same!

But , know this, HIS BRIDE WEARS WHITE, which is OBEDIENCE to the TORAH, AND Trust in Yeshua; one cannot have one without the other and be “dressed in white!” [Rev 12:17, 19:10]

Yom Teruah is the beginning of the “DAY OF יהוה ”, more commonly known as “The LORD’S Day” in christian parlance. This has been perverted/twisted to mean “sun day”, by those who oppose Torah and changed the Holy Day of יהוה from the 7th day Sabbath to the day of the worship of the “venerable sun god”. When Yokhanan said “I was in the Ruakh on the Day of יהוה ”, it was Yom Teruah! The first “JUDGMENT DAY”, the judgment of the Righteous, when the ‘sheep of Israel’ pass under the staff of Elohim ONE BY ONE.” This is the day the names of the RIGHTEOUS are SEALED in the book of life. This is the day of the blowing of the “Last Shofar” mentioned in 1 Corinthians 15. This is the “FIRST RESURRECTION”, of those who are dressed in white. [Remember what that means!] The Bride and the High Priest enter the “Kheder/Khuppah” [it is a wedding consummation!] And the Terrible Days begin! These are the 7 Years known as the “Time of Ya’akov’s Tribulation”, when Israel and those who would join her are disciplined for not following the Torah!

It is Terrible, but, at the same time, it is a GREAT HARVEST. At the end, after those who come through those terrible days by NOT following the Lying Messiah who changed the Moedim and the Torah through DECREE [ a worldwide decree forbidding all from keeping the Torah ], Yom Kippur comes, and the GREAT SHOFAR is blown, and all the nations are gathered together for a “great separation”. This is when Messiah Returns with His Wife, those riding behind Him in white [Those who knew Messiah AND KEPT HIS COMMANDMENTS, who needed NOT to go through the discipline of Ya’akov for not keeping the Torah], Messiah puts His foot down on the Mount of Olives, and the death penalty is conferred on those who oppose the Messiah and His Torah, following the “lying Messiah.”

The Season of our Joy then begins, which is SUKKOT. This is otherwise known as “Tabernacles.” The whole world will celebrate the WEDDING BANQUET of the Lamb. This is the LAST INGATHERING, depicted in the “ingathering” of fruits of the trees. Israel “goes out” to gather these fruits, which are both cultivated and wild, and “brings them in” for the FEAST of SUKKOT. This is why we hang fruits in our Sukka [booth]. This is a picture of the 2 prophets and the 144K Jews “going out” to teach others of Messiah and His Torah during the “Terrible days.”

So, if you wonder why I count the Omer, you now know. The MOEDIM [Appoinments of יהוה ] in Leviticus 23, including the Sabbath, are the roadmap to the return of the Messiah. When Yeshua revealed [hitgalut, the book of REVELATION] to me the “Day that No Man Knows” nearly 30 years ago, “Yom Teruah”, commonly known as Rosh HaShannah, I began to ‘see’ that the Torah IS VALID TO THOSE WHO TRUST IN THE JEWISH MESSIAH.
It is by Torah that we are SET APART from this world. Yeshua washes us, gives us trust, and sets us free from the penalty of sin, which is indeed recorded in a book; THAT RECORD of SIN is what was nailed to the tree! He does NOT set us free from Torah! He frees us from OUR sin, so that we CAN keep it!

As long as this post is, this is but a SUMMARY of these feasts. The more I learn, the more I realize how much there is yet to learn. However, the more sure I become of the FACT that Yeshua will return during the fall season one day very soon.

This season commemorates the “FILLING UP” of His People with His Ruakh. Those of us who “know” this “FULLNESS” celebrate to remember it, and to re-invigorate our lives with His Ruakh, to learn of HIM. The ANTICIPATION of it reminds us of anticipating His coming for His Bride, and after that His Return!

We are in day 23 today. There are 27 days left to count before we celebrate the Ru’akh.  This previous week was the regularly scheduled reading of Lev 23 in Synagogues worldwide.  I ‘saw’ more this year to affirm these things.  The ‘drash’ is here.  Please watch, enjoy, and share.  27 days is not a long time.  Even if we have 50 years, that is not a long time.  Yeshua repeatedly told us to WATCH and BE READY for that day:

I wish I had more time, but I just wanted to ‘show’ how meditative this counting makes us, if we allow it. It truly does help us to “stir up” the gift that was given us…

Are you drunk?

Respect for life has all but disappeared in this country, and certainly the world over.

For the last few days, the abortion issue has surfaced in my search for news.  In that search, it is also becoming increasingly difficult to find just that: news.  Most of what we get is commentary, where news ‘anchors’ actually are telling us what to think about whatever they are reporting.  I long for the days when news and media reported the facts, and left the thinking up to the reader/listener.  But, alas.

That aside, what’s worse is that those who are the focus of ‘news’ are lying to us, most of the time.  People who are in power now speak egregious lies about what happened, in almost every situation, and the media does not call them on it.  Why?  Because both the media and the politicians are complicit in their attempt to re-define the country.  The left and the right of the political spectrum both wonder why Trump is so popular, and the people really aren’t exactly sure why either.  But, Trump is popular because he is at least shooting straight when he speaks.  It’s refreshing.

That attempt to redefine this country is shrouded in the playground of politics, which is just a smoke screen.  The ever-lurking evil of godlessness is to blame.  There has been an effort in this country for years to throw off the ‘shackles’ of absolutes, of truth itself, and ‘set everyone free’ to be their own god.  This is the root of our problem.  This is the source of the destruction of this country, hiding in plain sight.  And at the helm is Hollywood’s elite.  Hollywood is the propaganda machine of the godless, and is the engine on the train of public thought.  And it seems everyone is aboard that train.  Leftists are its conductor and crew, and everyone else is just along for the ride, and seemingly content with heading for the cliff of self-destruction where the track ends, or oblivious to the destination altogether.  Leftists think the nirvana of communism, a society without a god, where the people listen to the oligarchy’s orgy of amoral philosophies and surrender to their collective supreme intellect, because they think themselves better for man than G-d, will be the salvation of the world.  And they’ll kill anyone who gets in the way of that high and lofty dream.

Why does the left lie to the public all the time?  Because they do not have a god who opposes lying.  They lie to further their purposes, and because they know that the people on the train trust the conductor.  They lie because they do not believe in the absolute that lying is immoral.  Their ‘greater good’ outweighs the wrong of their deception.  They lie because they get away with it.  And they get away with it, because the populace itself is drunk on the wine of immorality.

The left is supported by the biggest, most effective propaganda machine ever, which effortlessly props up their lies.  And now, the social media giants are the thought police for that propaganda machine.  Google, Facebook,  You Tube, they all see themselves as the rightly-appointed arbiters of thought, and the protectors of those lies. As soon as anyone begins to gain traction on their platforms, if they say something that goes against the Hollywood and Leftist agenda, they are censored.  Just ask Diamond and Silk, or Mike Cernovich, or Pamela Geller, or anyone that has stood up for a singular truth and gotten mass attention.

There used to be in this country a common belief that there is a G-d, a creator and savior who alone grants inalienable rights.  And that His Ten Words were good for the country.  There were wide and varied viewpoints on how to serve Him, and none of those who served Him were perfect, they understood, but they all accepted and honored His existence, and His sovereignty over mankind.  They accepted that His guide book was good for our society.  They wrote about Him in our founding documents.  They agreed to leave the decision to the citizen as to how, when, or even whether to serve Him, but there was a common understanding that His basic principals were our foundation.  They believed there were absolute rights and wrongs, and that the people would stand, as long as they continued to trust in those truths.

Since then, however, those who despise G-d and a singular truth, summed up in those Ten Words, used those founding documents, twisted their words, convinced an elite few that they were smarter, and set out to inoculate society from belief in any absolutes.  Some of them attended churches, maintaining the ruse that they believed in G-d, until such a time when they could then remove the veil of deceit and openly declare His absence, and their superiority over people who still believe in absolutes.  That day has arrived.

But, it was preceded by some very dangerous precedents that have numbed the masses into thinking these Elites and their policies are harmless.  First, they took prayer out of school.  It seemed ‘right’ to that generation not only not to impose G-d on the public, but also to surrender to the notion that He should not be involved in our government, nor in any institution created by, supported, and sustained by the public.  After taking away the public notion that there is a Creator, then it became easy to declare that killing a human being should be legal.  They twisted the definition of life, and said that location determines whether or not someone is alive.  Suddenly, the womb, supposed before to be sacrosanct, and the safest place in the world for any human, was now an execution chamber.  People could be killed simply because they were ‘unwanted.’  And that generation did not see that this thought process could reach further than the womb!  When just a few years before, a society went on a killing rampage of ‘unwanted’ people who were outside the womb, killing six million souls in just a few years.  Since that decision, fifty million humans have been murdered simply because of their location, because someone decided their life was not ‘wanted.’  Since there is no ‘absolute’ right nor wrong, the lives of those who could not speak for themselves nor defend themselves did not matter.  And the country allowed it.  How did public opinion shift on this so swiftly?  Propaganda.

Since the definition of life itself could change, so too could the definition of marriage, the progenitor and protector of life.  The propaganda machine went to work on that issue tut-de-suite, and public opinion shifted enough to cause judges to re-define marriage based on that opinion, and not on fact.

All the while, the boundaries of morality became amorphous.  Institutes of higher education were flooded with new elitists who drum the agenda of godlessness into the minds of the next generation.   Those new elitists take office in the courts, in the schools, and in the state; and now the public is accepting and abiding two separate sets of laws: the laws for the elite, and the laws for the common.  A President lied about adultery and redefined the word “is”; a secretary of State lied to the public about leaving Americans for dead in Benghazi;  an Attorney General lied to the public about arms deals; an Attorney General lied to the nation about a tarmac meeting; A presidential candidate lied to the FBI about the content of emails.  A sitting president backed those and other lies wholeheartedly.  And now, an FBI director lied to a FISA court, to Congress, and to the people about trying to unseat a sitting President.  And these are just the high-lights.  The lies coming out of the elite are a steady stream of repugnant drink.  And the masses do nothing.  They drink it, joyfully, it seems.

Why?

Because there is no god.  Because that public has drunk the wine of spiritual stupor coming out of Hollywood for the last sixty years.  While seventy-seven percent of that populace claims to be Christian, and .5% is Jewish, Hollywood thrives on Christian and Jewish money.  Less than 22.5% of the population claims not to believe in the “Judeo-Christian” G-d, but the public train of thought reflects the values of that 22.5%.  Why?  Because the 77.5% is the fuel that feeds that train, and the consumers of its garbage.

It is not until those who claim to believe in the G-d the founders believed in stand up for the simple truth of absolute right and wrong again that any change for good will occur.  It is not until they stop consuming Hollywood and social media elitist trash that they will take power away from them.  The left has done a brilliant thing: they have made their money off the very people they are trying to subdue, and subduing that people with it.  It may indeed be too late.  But Trump’s successes have given a few people hope.  America has reached out basically to a ‘base fellow’ for ‘salvation,’ much like Israel reached out to Yiftakh [Jephthah].  Someone who would not otherwise be ‘honored’ as a righteous man, but who would stand up to villains, became righteous in that process.  Are we seeing that same thing before our eyes?  Let’s hope so.

Why, though, has 77.5% of a population that claims to believe in G-d supported such ungodly decisions as abortion and homosexual marriage [with other amoral decisions on the heels of those two]?  How did public opinion turn so quickly?  Because those people are in bed with the machine that propagates the doctrine of godlessness, paying billions each year to consume the wine of her adultery, feeding their minds with the twisted ‘truths’ that lace almost every product of Hollywood.  They have turned from the Bible as an infallible truth, to public opinion foisted on them by entertainers and elitists.  They worship her.

Blame it on preachers who participate in the drink, and do not see the drunkenness and stupor.  Blame it on the leaders of Christianity and Judaism that have capitulated to Hollywood, allowing ‘her’ to tell them how to think.  Blame it on ‘believers’ who say, and do not do.  And who pay large sums of their yearly income to support the very machine that is meant to kill them.  [spiritual death]

Relative and not literal interpretation of the scriptures has led to relative interpretation of the laws of the land, which has led to a completely immoral train of public opinion, which drives the judiciary, the executive, and legislative thought processes, and the electorate.  One of those has been recently interrupted, and it is putting the brakes on; but is it enough?  No.  The others must join in the effort.  Only the people, those who spend the money enjoying the products that feed the beast, have the power to stop it.  But do they have the will?  The people have not the will to change their own behaviors, much less the actions of those who govern.   Until the masses wake up from their stupor, nothing will change.

As a Messianic, Torah-observant, Jewish believer in Messiah Yeshua, I see the beauty and wisdom of the Word of Elohim, and strive to apply it to my life, in spite of and because of my shortcomings, and to help others to do the same.  I long for everyone to see the fullness of His Torah, the benefit of it in their lives.  I wish every Jew and every Christian would see that the simple and plain and literal interpretation of the scriptures is the solution.  But, I am happy to allow them to arrive there in their own, rather in His own, timing.  But, I am speaking out, like a voice in the wilderness, in the hope that someone, any one person, will wake up to the decay of our society, and at least admit that this people needs G-d.  At least admit that He is sovereign, and there is such a thing as right and wrong, and no, not everyone is ‘basically good.’  Everyone is potentially good, but many are corrupt, and intent on corrupting.  The true enemy of America is godlessness, and it reaches into that 77.5%.

“ יהוה is not slow concerning His promises, as some men count slowness; but is longsuffering toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to teshuvah.”

Teshuvah is the Jewish thought / teaching of ‘repentance.’  It means to turn to Elohim, by doing His Torah.  His Torah is summed up in His Ten Words [in Exodus 20].  Read those, be HONEST with them and with yourselves, and turn this country back to G-d, in truth.

Omer Goodness!

Our portion this week includes the counting of the Omer in VaYikra, [Lev] and also a mandate in Kolossim not to follow the commandments of MEN.

If you have been following our Congregation’s web page and postings, you will see that our count is just now on 16 in the Omer, whereas among Rabbinic Jews the count today is 23 [as of 04/23/18 gregorian].  Why the difference?  Why the apparent discord?

We realize that since we are late-comers in the ‘game,’ that our count appears to be off.  But, the question, then, is why?

Once again, we have been accused of being anti-Semitic because we disagree with the Rabbinic  community.  Well, we are happy to be persecuted because of Yeshua, and as He was, as this is EXACTLY why we are persecuted.   We follow Messiah Yeshua, and NOT man.

Here is a brief explanation of why we differ.

Our portion this week, among Jews the world over, is VaYikra 23, the chapter that anchors all the days that יהוה   would have us observe.  In that chapter, the “First Omer” is prescribed to be offered on THE Sabbath after Pesakh:

“And he shall waive the Omer before יהוה to be accepted on your behalf; ON THE MORROW AFTER THE SABBATH the Kohen shall waive it.”

An “omer” is a sheaf [bundle] of barley.  It is presented along with a male lamb as a burnt offering.

This marks the beginning of fifty days of counting, and is effectively the start of the offering of ‘bikkurim,’ or ‘first fruits’.  Sha’ul calls Yeshua both the ‘first fruits from among the dead’ and ‘the first born’ from among the dead in his letters.  Bikurrim for firstfruits is the same Hebrew root word as ‘firstborn.’  It is the ‘first produce’ of anything that gives life.

So, since we believe all the Mo’edim [appointed times] are a ‘shadow’ predicting the ministry of Messiah Yeshua, as our portion in the Brit Khadasha declares, we firmly trust that He is the FIRST OMER offered to Elohim.

Yeshua clearly observed His Pesakh a full biblical day BEFORE the Rabbinic Pharisees.  He was not the only one in Israel that did so, contrary to what today’s Rabbis would have us believe.  [The Rabbis do NOT represent ALL JEWS; and we do NOT hate them; but we reject what they teach that contravenes Torah, because Messiah tells us to do so.]  Yeshua rose from the dead AT THE BEGINNING OF THE WEEK [this is perfectly clear in the Aramaic texts, but is also perfectly clear in the GREEK texts, to the unbiased mind, a mind that is willing to admit the possibility that it has been taught wrong: let Elohim be TRUTHFUL, and every man a liar].  The beginning of the week is right after the Sabbath.  In the spring, when Pesakh occurs, this would be about 8:15 p.m. on Saturday night.  The next day in the temple, they SHOULD have gathered to present the First Omer.  But, they had MOVED the Pesakh, and they had also MOVED the First Omer.  Even today the Rabbis observe the first Omer on the day after THEIR Passover.  In Yeshua’s day, during His ‘savlanut,’ He held His Seder on ‘Tuesday’ night, was executed on Wednesday afternoon, and the Pharisees held their Seder on Wed night, and they started the Omer count on thur night and waived the Omer on fri, while Yeshua was still in the grave; THEY MISSED MESSIAH BECAUSE they were NOT following G-d, but MAN!  They still do today.  But, relax.  Elohim tells us they will remain in PARTIAL BLINDNESS until just before Messiah comes back.  When they SAY: “Blessed is HE [Yeshua] who comes in the Name of יהוה ,” then they will SEE MESSIAH.  But, they won’t say His Name as yet [although even some Rabbinic Jews are now daring to say it!].   Notice that it is ONLY partial blindness, dear gentile friend.  “What, then, is the advantage for the Y’hudi [Jew] ? Or what is the advantage of circumcision? Much in every way! First, because the Y’hudim were entrusted with the very words of Elohim.”  But, our stance is that the Words of Elohim are ONLY the INSPIRED words!  Those of the Torah!  We, as Messianic believers, MUST seek out what it is that Yeshua taught and DID, and follow HIM, and NOT Rabbis who erred!  Yeshua, many times over, scolded the Rabbis for their error, for wandering from the truth, for doing VIOLENCE against the Torah of G-d.  And they killed Him for it.

For several months now, I have been mourning the inability to fellowship with the wider Messianic Jewish community, because they do not accept us, because we say His Name, and we observe the Mo’edim differently.  They stand ONLY on the authority of the Rabbis to hold to their interpretation of the scriptures in EVERY CASE where we differ with them.

The sentence that establishes the first Omer reads this way in hebrew:

 מִמָּחֳרַת   הַשַּׁבָּת   יְנִיפֶנּוּ  הַכֹּהֵן

Hakohen yenifeinu  hashabbat   mimakharat   <<<<<<< read right to left

Mimakharat literally means ‘from the tomorrow of’ and haShabbat means THE SABBATH.

There is ONLY ONE THE SABBATH

Let the Rabbis argue over when that is, but we will allow Messiah to SHOW US, since HE is the First Omer from among the dead!

HE ROSE ON SATURDAY NIGHT, a FULL THREE DAYS AFTER THE RABBIS observed THEIR Pesakh a DAY LATE!

This fixes the first Omer to Saturday night at Motza’ei Shabbat [which is what it actually reads in the GREEK in Luke!]  This means Shavu’ot ALWAYS falls on the first day of the week, 50 days later. During the ceremony to mark Motza’ei Shabbat [the exit of the sabbath], called Havdallah [separating between the Sabbath and the ordinary days, celebrated in Acts 20], we sing, “Hinei, El Yeshua’ti, evtakh v’lo ef’khad.  Ki Ozi v’Zimrat Yah, יהוה , va’yehi li l’-Yehsua’ah…”  BEHOLD, G-d is MY SALVATION [My Yeshua]!  I will TRUST, and not be in terror!”  For Yah, יהוה , is my strength and my song, and HE IS BECOME FOR ME YESHUA[h]!”  [SALVATION]

This happened when Yeshua ROSE FROM THE DEAD on SATURDAY NIGHT!

This is why we count the Omer differently from the Rabbis.  It does NOT mean that we hate the Rabbis.  It does NOT mean that we are anit-semitic.  It does NOT mean we are going to hell.  It does NOT mean we are stupid.  It means we reject their DOCTRINE.  It means we see ONLY YESHUA AS “MY GREAT ONE,” “MY TEACHER,” “Rabbi,” the arbiter and living example of our halakha, since HE ALONE is the vessel of our Salvation!

“Let no one therefore create a disturbance among you about eating and drinking, or about the distinctions of feast days, the beginning of the khadashim [months], and of sabbaths. These are shadows of things to come; but the Guf is Mashi’akh.” [Kol 2:16-17]

Some of our congregants have been harassed by others this year [again] who follow the Rabbis in the counting of the Omer.  Let no one therefore create a disturbance among you.  Perhaps those in Kolos were suffering the same.  The Galatian ‘issue’ was that the Jews who were PRETENDING to be Messianic were harassing Messianic, gentile believers for differing in their halakha!  Perhaps they actually THOUGHT they were Messianic Jews. They certainly claimed they were.  [Kolos is in/near Galatia]. They WERE Jewish, but Sha’ul called them FALSE ‘believers’!

Sha’ul’s words are indeed still confusing people today, just as they did 2000 years ago. [2 Peter 3:14-19].  Here, Sha’ul is clearly teaching that some people follow MEN, and NOT G-D.  He goes on to say, “for these things are customs which are changeable [G-d’s WORD is immutable!] and they are the commandments and doctrines of men. And it appears there is some word of wisdom in these things when presented by the humble person in reverence for Elohim, provided they disregard the things of the flesh, not those things which are honorable, but only those things which satisfy the pleasure of the flesh.”  Sha’ul shows us that man’s doctrines DO sometimes sound correct, right, honorable, even true.  But, remember what he said just before: “And I say this so that no man may beguile you with enticing words.” (v4)

Men’s doctrines are enticing.  They feed the flesh.  Many Messianic Jewish people will NOT turn from Rabbinic error, because their flesh will not let them.  They CLING to it, in spite of being shown clearly that Yeshua did not. [Mark 7]  If the Rabbis were right on the first Omer, Yeshua would have risen on thursday night that week.

Yeshua WAS presented as the First Omer on ‘Sunday.’ He rose late Saturday night.  Waited for the ladies to show up VERY early Sunday morning WHILE IT WAS STILL DARK.  He told Miryam, “Do not touch me. I have not yet ASCENDED to Avi; but go to my brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to Avi and Avikhem, my Elohim and your Elohim.”  He goes to heaven that day, presents Himself as the first omer, the first born/first fruit from among the dead.  He comes back that same evening and tells His Talmidim, “TOUCH ME, and SEE, that I am FLESH AND BONE.”

These things STILL remain a ‘shadow’ of what is to come.  Sha’ul said they are a shadow, but the ‘GUF’ is Mashiakh.

That can be decently rendered as ‘essence,’ or some other similar word.  But “Guf” is a ‘sod,’ and in this SAME letter, Sha’ul had already ‘revealed’ it, and it is the GREAT MYSTERY of the scriptures.  Yeshua has now put this mystery in PLAIN SIGHT, but so many people, who believe, MISS IT!

“And now, rejoice in my sufferings for you, and make up that which is lacking of the sufferings of Mashi’akh in my flesh for His body’s sake, which is the congregation, for which I became a shammash according to the stewardship of Elohim which has been given to me for you, fully to declare Davar HaElohim [The WORD of Elohim, NOT of the Rabbis!] everywhere. Even the Sod [MYSTERY] which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now is revealed to His K’doshim [set apart ones; we are ONLY set apart by HIS WORD]; to whom Elohim wanted to make known the riches of the glory of this Sod among the Goyim; which is Mashi’akh in you, the hope of our glory.

That is the GUF!  Our Jewish people knew about the Guf, but missed it.  They have the ‘idea’ of ONE MAN being the GUF.  But they did not see Messiah!

I WISH I had time to elucidate this completely, but I do not.  But, I will finish by saying that we, our congregation and others who count the Omer and observe Pesakh when we do, are NOT causing division in the GUF!  The division is among MEN!  Who do not follow the example of MESSIAH YESHUA!  “As for me and my house, we shall serve יהוה .”  “He who SAYS “I am IN HIM [in the GUF], ought himself ALSO to walk HIS HALAKHA!”  NOT the halakha of the Rabbis.

I began this article with the original intent of discussing the anticipation of the Omer leading up to Shavu’ot.  This year, I truly hope SOMEONE will ‘hear’ the WORDS OF ELOHIM, and SEE the simple, clear, undeniable example and supremacy of Yeshua over EVERY OTHER TEACHER.  Do we need teachers today?  YES!  But, we need to make sure that THEY FOLLOW ONLY MESSIAH.  MOST teachers today do not; and most people today do not look for teachers who do, but they clearly seek out teachers to scratch their itching ears, and to feed their flesh.  We will unite with ANYONE who walks the Halakha of Yeshua.  May those people increase in strength during this season of counting.  May those who truly KNOW HIS WAYS be FILLED WITH THE RU’AKH HaKHESED this Shavu’ot.  May we unite with HIS GUF, and not with those who reject Messiah Yeshua.

 Amein.

The Sign of Yonah

Yeshua said that the only “sign” He would give Yisra’el to prove that He was/is Messiah was the sign of Yonah [Matt 12:39-40]:

“Rabbi, we want to see a miraculous sign from you.” He replied, “A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign… No! None will be given to it but the sign of the prophet Yonah. For just as Yonah was THREE DAYS and THREE NIGHTS in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days AND three nights in the depths of the earth.”

“And יהוה prepared a great fish to swallow Yonah, and Yonah was in the belly of the fish for three days and three nights.”

What most do not know is that a Jewish immersion is three complete immersions in the water. And when Yeshua immersed, when He came up OUT of the river, [after the three immersions], The Ruakh descended upon Him like a “DOVE”; the Hebrew word for “Dove” is “Yonah.” The “sign” had already been given to a true prophet, Yokhanan HaMatbil [John the Immerser], who had been told by G-d that the Ru’akh would rest on the Messiah and he would see it; and he saw it rest on Yeshua ‘ka yonah,’ like a dove. Yeshua then equates His time in She’ol directly to the time of Yonah in the great fish.

Look at Yonah’s prayer during his time in the belly of the fish:

“”I called out of my affliction unto יהוה, and He answered me; out of the belly of She’ol [the place of the dead] I cried out, and You heard my voice. For You did cast me into the depth, in the heart of the seas, and the flood was round about me; all YOUR waves and Your billows PASSED OVER me. And I said: ‘I am cast out from before Your eyes’; yet I will look again toward Your set-apart Heikhal [Sanctuary]. The waters compassed me about, even to the soul; the deep was round about me; the weeds were wrapped about my head. I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars closed upon me forever; yet have You brought up my life from the pit, O יהוה my Elohim. When my soul fainted within me, I remembered יהוה; and my prayer came in unto You, into Your set-apart Heikhal. They that regard lying vanities forsake their own mercy. But I will sacrifice unto You with the voice of thanksgiving; that which I have vowed I will pay. Your Yeshua[h] is for  יהוה .”  And יהוה spoke unto the fish, and it vomited out Yonah upon the dry land.”

I wish I had time! But, we see here that Yonah is praying prophetically, understanding the “Good News” of the RESURRECTION, long before Messiah preached. Do you see that it alludes to Passover? Do you see that it foreshadows Messiah’s going into the Heikhal, “Once, for ALL.”  Do you see that Yonah understands what the great fish represents, while he is in it: SHEOL, “DARKNESS”, SEPARATION from Elohim [God]. Do we understand what put him there?

The timing of Yeshua’s execution and resurrection DOES matter! He did NOT die on “good friday”, but on Wed afternoon. He did not rise on ‘s-nday’ morning at sunrise, but late on satrday night at “Havdallah”, the moment the Sabbath ended. His first “work” after dying was to RISE FROM THE DEAD. Havdallah is when we Jews perform our first “charity” of the week, giving to the needy.  The Havdallah service begins by singing a portion from Yesha-Yahu:  “Hineh EL Yeshua’ti, Evtakh v’lo Efkhad”, BEHOLD, Elohim is MY YESHUA, I will TRUST and NOT BE TERRIFIED.”  And then the first acts of charity are performed.  On that sat night, when Jews were singing “Hineh EL Yeshua’ti, Evtakh v’lo Efkhad”, BEHOLD, Elohim is MY YESHUA, I will TRUST and NOT BE TERRIFIED,” Yeshua ROSE FROM THE DEAD to become the SALVATION of all who would trust, after having been separated from Elohim in She’ol, for our sakes.

These words of Salvation are still the first words out of Jewish mouths at the very beginning of the week, the moment the light of Sabbath leaves us on sat night. Yeshua came back from utter darkness at this moment, and belays all our fears! Abba raised Him from the dead according to HIS PREDICTED TIMING, and NOT that of “Ishtar” [easter], the goddess of fertility that celebrates the “rising sun.”

Rabbi Stone-Mason: THE ROCK

Yeshua is a Jew, and was a Stone Mason, until He became a Rabbi.  Essentially, however, He was always a Rabbi, as he was teaching the teachers at Pesakh when He was only twelve years old. [Rabbi is from the Hebrew which literally means ‘my great one’, implying one who knows far more about Torah than me]

This Jewish Stone Mason turned renegade Rabbi [because He did not attend the customary schools of Rabbinic training] is indeed the Son of G-d, and the Messiah of Yisra’el.  “Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, for you will know it!”  Mishlim 30:4    [Yes, if you check the Aramaic texts, Yeshua was a stone-mason, and not a ‘carpenter’.  The homes in Natzrat and the outlying areas were all built of stone.  He was not weak, nor soft.  But had to be pretty strong and burly to do that job for ten, or up to seventeen years.]  Many people the world over, in two major streams of religion [catholic xtian and protestant/other xtian, and some “Messianic” believers] would say they worship this person.  But, then they misrepresent Him by their doctrines and actions.

Yeshua followed or obeyed no one but His Father, and He instructed/instructs His Talmidim to do the same [A talmid is one who studies Torah under a Rabbi; this word became ‘disciple’ in the English mind, but it loses some meaning that way ].  Yet so many still insist on following teachers/doctrines that have very little to no root at all in the sacred writings from which Yeshua taught.  Now, let me first say this: Yeshua did NOT reject ALL Jewish tradition.  Quite the contrary.  He worshipped regularly in the “Beit K’nesset” [synagogue] on Shabbat.  He went to Jerusalem for all the Mo’edim [appointed times of G-d].  He ate kosher.  He wore Tzit-Tziyot.  He prayed.  He agreed with much of the doctrine of the day, such as the importance of the Two Great Commands, and other early Jewish doctrines.  But, Yeshua did NOT embrace JEWISH, RABBINIC teaching that was already taking Israel away from the purity of the Torah.  In fact, He EXCORIATED the Rabbis, known collectively as “P’rushim and Sofrim,” or ‘scribes and Pharisees,’ for their taking the average Jewish people away from the PURE TORAH.  I will not cite all references that prove that Yeshua DID stand against such doctrine, but will cite the most powerful section, and it’s most powerful statement by Yeshua, concerning all such doctrinal behavior:

Y Markos 7:

“For you [Rabbis] have forsaken the mitzvah of Elohim, and you strongly cling to the tradition of men, such as the washing of cups and pots, and a great many other things like these.” He said to them, “You certainly break the mitzvah of Elohim so as to sustain your own tradition.”

In the Messianic community, it has been surprising to see how many Jewish people will call a me an anti-Semite, though I am Jewish, simply for asserting that today’s Jews, Messianic or not, in large part still do this: they violate the Torah by teaching men’s traditions as if G-d Himself gave those traditions as commands, when they can find NOTHING in Torah or the rest of scripture to support their doctrine.  Yeshua did not have a degree in Rabbinic thought.  But, He proves nonetheless that He understood enough of it to know that they put too much stock in the ‘tradition of the elders’ and not enough in The Word of G-d itself.  Again, He did NOT dismiss all customs; but, the ones that violate the scriptures He most certainly did dismiss.  And He chided Yisra’el’s teachers for teaching them.

Today’s Messianic Jews, some of them, teach a mixture of Christian and Jewish MANMADE doctrine as their core beliefs.  They teach that G-d is a ‘triune’ being, when Scripture clearly shows us HE IS ONE, manifesting to us in His Son and by the Ru’akh, but ONE.   The words ‘triune’ and ‘trinity’ are NOWHERE to be found in scripture, so they use intellectual gymnastics to fancify his nature, to match that of the Christian world.   His manifestation is a plurality of magnitude, yes, but his essence is ONENESS.  They ‘strongly cling’ to this unbiblical doctrine.  And then, at the same time, they will call Him “HaShem.”  They also ‘strongly cling’ to this late, manmade Jewish doctrine.  To the English hearer, this does not seem like a violation.  “Hashem” means ‘the name’.  So imagine, “Hear O Yisra’el, the name is our G-d, the name is one.  And you shall love the name your G-d with all of your heart.”    “The name is gracious, and kind, and full of compassion.”   Our Jewish people, many among Messianic people, BLOT OUT His Name with this phrase even when reading Hebrew scripture and seeing His Name,  יהוה  ; they do so in obeisance to the Jewish Rabbinic community.  The scriptures are quite clear that Abba intended for us to KNOW and to LOVE HIS ACTUAL NAME, and to DECLARE it in Yisra’el, in the congregation, and among the nations!  , “You certainly break the mitzvah of Elohim so as to sustain your own tradition.”  Yeshua still says this.

He also would say this to the Christian community, who do very similar things.  Even though He says  יהוה   is ONE, they insist on calling Him “three.”  Even though He said to worship Him on the Seventh day, “Shabbat” meaning “Seventh” as well as “CEASING” from labor, they insist any ‘seventh’ day will do, including the pagan 1st day of the week.  These teachers KNOW these things do not match the texts, but they ‘strongly cling’ to the doctrine nonetheless.  “You certainly break the mitzvah of Elohim so as to sustain your own tradition.”  Yeshua still says this.

The Way of Messiah Yeshua is indeed, very, very narrow.  And indeed, now that we are 2000 years removed, many false ‘anointed ones’  have influenced the doctrines of those who seek to serve Him.  Our Jewish Rabbis have patently rejected Yeshua as the Son of G-d and the Messiah of Yisra’el.  This, sadly, is the false spirit of Sheker HaMashiakh.  Yet far too many Messianic teachers teach the Talmud as if G-d inspired it.  Are all Jews condemned?  No.  Yeshua is beginning to bring more and more Jews to His B’sorah.  But, even some of those who come to trust in Messiah for salvation cling to the doctrines of the Jewish Elders, even when those doctrines are NOT in the Torah.  And our Christian friends do the same.  They cling strongly to doctrines that are NOT in scripture, even though they know that in the purest reading of The Word they are wrong.  So what is the average believer supposed to do?

In Moshe’s day, Moshe’s authority was affirmed by the miracles Elohim did, until Moshe wrote Torah.  Then, Yehoshua took over, and his authority was affirmed by miracles.  Then the Shoftim took over, and their authority was affirmed by miracles.  Then came the Nevi’im, and their authority was affirmed by miracles.  And then Yeshua came, and His authority as the Son of G-d was also affirmed by miracles, especially that He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven in front of 500 witnesses.  And then, the Shlikhim went about declaring His B’sorah, and their authority was affirmed by miracles.  It would seem, then, that Abba would now continue to affirm His authority by miracles.  And there are those that go about claiming to do miracles on His behalf, to assert their authority over people, to convince them to follow THEIR version of doctrine.  This is true in both the Jewish and Christian communities.  But, history shows us that the miracles of the Shlikhim ceased at the end of the first century, in number and power, though not altogether.  So, by WHAT AUTHORITY does anyone establish doctrine.  Is it a coincidence that the Word of Elohim was finally completely written in the late 1st century?  The Jewish canon was established before then, and affirmed by Yeshua.  The NT canon was written exclusively in the 1st century, completed when Yokhanan wrote the Hitgalut [Revelation] in 90AD.  Around the same time the miracles had begun to reduce in number and power.

Today, we as believers are to stand on the AUTHORITY of the WORD of ELOHIM, from ‘B’reshit to Hitgalut’ [genesis to revelation], and that ALONE, as true doctrine.  “But hold fast to the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and knowing that you have learned from your childhood the set-apart scriptures, which are able to make you wise to life through absolute trust in Yeshua HaMashi’akh. All scripture written by the inspiration of The Ru’akh HaKodesh is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in tzedaka [Hebrew word for torah obedience]; so that the people of Elohim may become complete, thoroughly perfected for every good work.”  [2 Tim 3:14-16]  “And consider that the longsuffering of Adoneinu is for Salvation; even as our beloved brother Pavlos also, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, as also in all his letters he speaks concerning these matters, in which there are certain things so hard to be understood that those who are ignorant and unstable twist their meaning, as they do also the other scriptures, to their own destruction.  You therefore, my beloved, seeing that you know these things beforehand, beware, lest you follow the error of those without Torah, and fall from your own steadfastness.” [2 Kefa [peter] 3]

Yeshua, our Stone-Mason Rabbi, our Rock, our Foundation, is the embodiment of the Torah, and He STRONGLY REJECTS manmade doctrine.   In ancient Judaism, each Rabbi has his own ‘halakha’, or ‘the way he walked the Torah’, and his students tried to emulate him.  Yeshua had His own halakha too, and it REJECTS many Jewish customs that contravene Torah.  “Hereby we know that we are in Him: He who says “I am in Him” ought himself also to walk His halakha.”  [1 Yokhanan 2]  Yeshua said His Father’s Name.  Yeshua kept the Sabbath and the other feasts.  Yeshua rejected Rabbinic teachings that violate Torah.  “You certainly break the mitzvah of Elohim so as to sustain your own tradition.”  Yeshua still says this.  “Messiah Yeshua is the same, yesterday, today, and forever.”

Rabbi Yeshua, Talmudic Rabbis, or popes?

“Not every prophetic writing is made clear in its own book.” 2 Peter 1:20

We love our Jewish People. We have looked to Yehudah for guidance in regard to how to keep Torah, how to fulfill the mitzvot [commands] of the Torah according to the practice in the time of Messiah, and approved of by Messiah by His participation. There are just some things we would not know ‘how’ to do without our Jewish People. But, we must bear in mind that most of our Jewish People missed Messiah due to erroneous leadership, so there is a need for scrutiny in regard to doctrine/halakha. Yeshua was addressing the predecessors of today’s Jewish Rabbis, the Pharisees, when He stated, “The Navi, Yesha-Yahu, well prophesied about you, O hypocrites, as it is written, ‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. And they worship me in vain when they teach as doctrines the mitzvot of men.’” As believers in Messiah, Jewish OR Gentile, we have to be aware of this warning, understanding that it is the commandments and traditions/doctrines [teachings] of men that can actually cause us to err against the commandments of Elohim. And Yeshua said this is VAIN worship; empty, useless worship.

So, ultimately, our Rabbi is Messiah Yeshua, and it is HIS Halakha we follow, and not the later Rabbis, who followed in the footsteps of the Pharisees, and not the Footsteps of Messiah Yeshua. “Anyone who says “I abide in Him” must follow His halakha”. I John 2:6.

The scriptures of the Brit Khadashah were written to Jews who grew up in and understood Temple and Synagogue worship, and to Gentiles who had joined them and had been taught the same. Further, the Jewish people understood what the leaderships of the different sects were arguing at that time. One of the arguments was over the dates and times of keeping Pesakh. The Sadducees and many others, including Yeshua and His Talmidim, kept the Pesakh in the way we are about to describe, and the Pharisees kept it in the way they still do today in Modern Judaism, adding to their error a new calculated calendar. Whom all the ‘lay’ people followed in the time of Messiah is not known. But, we do know whom the Shlikhim [apostles] followed, and how they kept the Pesakh, and all their feasts. It is incumbent upon us, then, to endeavor to understand how Yeshua walked, and make our Halakhic conclusions based on His leadership by example, and not the Pharisees and later Rabbis who rejected Him and went even further into their error against Torah.

Pesakh as Messiah kept it, being the feast of the declaration of the Messiah’s death, is therefore of utmost importance in understanding how and when the Torah actually commands its observance, and thereby of all the feasts, and how and when Messiah Yeshua observed those as well. Doing so in any other way is in violation of His leadership, the Torah, and our “Mishnah” [Torah Expounded], the Brit Khadashah.

Clearly, Messiah Yeshua held His Pesakh Seder on the 14th of Nisan at dusk, the night before the Pharisees slew their lamb at 3 in the afternoon, when Messiah died. He died according to and because of their error! He died for ‘the sins of the world’, including the sin of moving Pesakh! And the one that actually hung Him on the tree, in the practical, was their not keeping the Pesakh of Torah. Their lack of recognizing and following the Messiah was part of why they hung Him on the tree! Otherwise, they would have held their Seder the night before as well, following Him as the Shlikhim did! They had Him slain after He kept His Pesakh Seder the night before.

We believe that the following, then, is the Messiah’s interpretation of the Pesakh feast and its instructions, based on HIS observance of Pesakh.

Elohim instructed Israel at the first Pesakh to do the following:

“And you shall keep it [the Pesakh lamb] unto the fourteenth day of the same khodesh; and the whole assembly of the congregation of Yisra’el shall kill it at dusk”.

There are three key words here to recognize and understand:

עַד
up until

חֹדֶשׁ
khodesh

בֵּין הָעַרְבָּיִם
dusk

Up until is the Hebrew word ahd. It means up until and not beyond.

Khodesh is renewed, regarding the crescent of the yareakh,’ the orb of the moon. It is interpreted as ‘month’ in most renderings, which is misleading due to our understanding of a month being a calculated period of days; this was not done at the time of the Exodus. The math did not exist.

“Dusk” is the Hebrew “bein ha’arabayim,” literally meaning “between the evenings.” This is defined in other scripture as “dusk,” such as when water birds fly in to nest for the night, and when the priests are commanded to light the Menorah in the Mishkan. Elohim would not command the Menorah to be lit in the afternoon, wasting precious oil.

So, the lamb was to be kept up until dusk of the FOURTEENTH day after the new crescent, and not beyond. Remembering that Biblical days start in the evening, dusk precedes the evening of the 14th day [period of about 12 hours of light after the start of the 14th; a day begins with about 12 hours of darkness]. So, the tenth, eleventh, twelfth, and thirteenth days were the four days of examining the lamb and making sure that it met the specifications of יהוה. Then, יהוה said that they should eat it in THAT night:

“And they shall eat the flesh in THAT night”…what night? The night of the 14th! The start of the ‘yom’ of two twelve hour periods that begin with darkness.

This is when Messiah had His Pesakh Seder, having been examined by Yisra’el for four days, going back and forth from Beit Anya to Yerushalayim. The Pharisees did not observe their Seder until the 15th, after killing Messiah AND their lamb at 3pm during the DAY of the 14th , holding their Seder well AFTER dusk of the 15th! They still do this today!

This violates Torah.

This is how most Jews, including many Messianic Jews, do it today, following the Pharisees, and not Messiah Yeshua, our only true Rabbi [Great One, Teacher].

They argue that 3pm is ‘dusk,’ only meaning the latter part of the day. They [Rabbis] also argue that they have the power to change it [as do the popes]. But, ‘bein ha’arabayim’ means ‘between the evenings,’ and is defined by other scripture as just before sundown. And, the time of the offering for Pesakh is specifically clarified to be just at sundown in another passage!

Deut. 16:6
“You shall sacrifice the Pesakh at evening, AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN.

Clearly, this is NOT at 3 PM in the afternoon! But, what evening is this? At the END of the 14th day, before the 15th, or at the end of the 13th day AT DUSK, at the start of the 14th, to eat the lamb in the NIGHT of the 14th? The latter is what the whole narrative of scripture teaches!

Ex 12:6, 18
“And you shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month; and the whole assembly of the congregation of Yisra’el shall kill it at dusk.”

“In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at evening, you shall eat Matzot, up until [ahd] the one and twentieth day of the month at evening.” Lev 23:5

“In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at dusk [bein ha’arabayim], is the Pesakh of ” יהוה
Num 9:3, 5

In the fourteenth day of this month, at dusk [bein haarabayim], you shall keep it in its appointed season; according to all the statutes of it, and according to all the ordinances thereof, shall you keep it.”

Looking at each of these scriptures, and considering that Deuteronomy 16 adds the phrase “at the going down of the sun”, it is clear that יהוה would have us celebrate the Pesakh this way: eating the meal during the night of the 14th.

Further, the death angel came into Mitzrayim at midnight that night, the start of the 14th ‘day’. First, scripture defines a ‘day’ as an evening FIRST, and THEN a morning: “And there was an evening [12 hours of dark], then there was a morning [12 hours of light], A DAY.” [Bereshit/Genesis 1:5] So midnight was a mere six hours after the ‘dusk’ that followed the 13th day, just enough time to kill, roast, and eat the Pesakh!

Exodus 12:29

“And it came to pass at midnight, that יהוה smote all the firstborn in the land of Mitzrayim, from the firstborn of Paroh that sat on his throne unto the first-born of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.”

And the following ‘day’, still the 14th, they gathered the wealth of Mitzrayim, all their hosts, some strangers, and cattle, assembled, and prepared to leave. Exodus 12 does not specify the day they left, except that יהוה said that Matzot begins on the 15th day, the day He took them out of Mitzrayim. Verse 17 makes this clear.

“And you shall observe the feast of Matzot [unleavened bread]; for in this selfsame day have I brought your hosts out of the land of Mitzrayim; therefore shall you observe this day throughout your generations by an ordinance forever.”

Numbers 33 tells us clearly what day this was:

“And they journeyed from Rameses in the first khodesh, on the fifteenth day of the first khodesh; on the morrow after the Pesakh the children of Yisra’el went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.”

Other scriptures make it clear that they ‘assembled the hosts’ on the 14th, and left on the 15th. The 15th marks the commemoration of the Exodus. The 14th marks the commemoration of the Pesakh. Together, the seven days are the SEASON of “Pesakh/Matzot”. That seven day season can be referred to either way, the ‘season’ of the Pesakh, or the ‘season’ of Matzot. Within it, there are two ONE DAY remembrances: Pesakh [14th] and Matzot [15th, starting SIX MORE days of eating Matzot]. The season is supposed to last for only SEVEN days, not the eight days to which the Rabbis have lengthened it. יהוה was very specific on this:

In the first khodesh, on the FOURTEENTH day of the khodesh, at EVENING, UP TO the 21st day AT EVENING.

That is only SEVEN days, seven twenty-four hour periods, 7 evenings and mornings; and it must start on and include the 14th of the first khodesh! And this is what יהוה actually said!

SEVEN DAYS you shall eat Matzot!

So, in every discussion about Pesakh/Matzot in Torah, the 14th is the first day, and the 20th is the seventh day. It ends when the 21st day starts.

Here are the other scriptures that tell us to eat Matzot for SEVEN days, and that they LEFT on the 15th, and that the 15th is to be the commemoration of Matzot, NOT the Pesakh, but the bread they ate when they departed, the bread of affliction, celebrating their DEPARTURE:

Ex 12:17

“And you shall observe the feast of Matzot; for in this selfsame day have I brought your hosts out of the land of Mitzrayim; therefore shall you observe this day throughout your generations by an ordinance forever.” [How? By continuing to eat Matzot for six more days!]

Lev 23:6
“And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of Matzot unto
יהוה; seven days you shall eat Matzot.

Num 28:17

And on the fifteenth day of this khodesh shall be a feast; seven days shall Matzot be eaten.”

Num 33:3

“And they journeyed from Rameses in the first khodesh, on the fifteenth day of the first khodesh; on the morrow AFTER the Pesakh, the children of Yisra’el went out with a high hand in the sight of all Mitzrayim”

Now, looking at the latter portions of the middle two verses above, it would appear that seven days from the 15th would be “Matzot”, and that is the justification the Rabbis use for fixing their Seders on the 15th, although they have EIGHT days for the whole season of Pesakh.

What happened is that יהוה fully intended for them to understand that the FIRST day of eating Matzot was the 14th, at their Seder! Remember, He said the seven days were very specifically from the beginning of the 14th UP TO the 21st! And that Matzot was to be eaten with the Pesakh Lamb!

Exodus 12:18

“In the first khodesh, on the FOURTEENTH day of the month at EVENING, you shall eat Matzot UP TO [עַד] the 21st day AT EVENING.

Once again, Deuteronomy 16 clears the fog:

Deut 16:8

“Six days [After Pesakh! See verse 7] you shall eat Matzot; and on the seventh day [from Pesakh, the 20th] shall be a solemn assembly to יהוה your Elohim; you shall do no work therein.

So, the first day of the SEASON is the 14th, the night of the Seder, and a solemn assembly in that day; and the last day of the SEASON, the 20th, is a solemn assembly.

Pesakh Week The key verses to keep in mind are Exodus 12:18, specifying the EXACT DATES of the SEVEN DAYS of eating Matzot, and Deuteronomy 16:8, specifying only 6 days of eating Matzot AFTER Pesakh.

Deuteronomy 16 also makes very clear that the lamb was to be slain at sundown on the 14th, not at 3pm in the afternoon. We all understand that Biblical days start in the evening, so that sundown is at the start of that day.

This is how Yeshua kept it, and it is made clear in scripture that He was keeping His Pesakh Seder with His Talmidim on the night that He was betrayed.  Much of Yisra’el was too, to include the Talmidim, who went to Yeshua and asked, “where would you have us prepare the Pesakh [Seder/Meal]?”  The Pharisees did indeed keep THEIR Pesakh after the night of the 14th, killing their lamb on the DAY of the 14th and having their Seder the NIGHT of the 15th, as they still do to this day.  “Choose THIS DAY whom you shall serve.  As for me and my house, we shall serve  יהוה   .”

With all that in mind, now we have to make sure that we have the right KHODESH!

Reckoning the Khodesh!

As the previous section explained, we keep the Pesakh on the 14th Day of the FIRST KHODESH.

This is counted from the first day of the khodesh, which is only determined by the NEW, VISIBLE CRESCENT MOON.

When they saw the crescent moon again for the first time, the new khodesh started, in this case the FIRST khodesh. How do we know it is the first khodesh? Well, because we’ve been counting new crescents since last year, and we were previously in the 12th.

But, more importantly, the FIRST KHODESH is established by the AVIV. What is “AVIV?”

Some folks think it is the name of a “month.” Biblically, it is NOT.

Shemot/Exodus 13 tells us that it is the khodesh they came out of Mitzrayim:

“This day you go forth in the khodesh of The Aviv.”

The text actually reads “The Aviv” in Hebrew.

This means it can be read literally this way: “This day you go forth in the month of THE RIPENING.”

Aviv means that the grain [barley] is “in the ear,” almost ready to be harvested. Again, this was NOT the ‘name’ of a ‘month.’ יהוה NUMBERS the khodesh! This is the FIRST KHODESH [see Exodus 12:2, Lev 23:5] But, it also has to be the khodesh of the ripening, OTHERWISE it would be a 13th khodesh for that year! That is how Elohim in ancient Yisra’el adjusted time, instead of “leap years”.

The earth takes 365.256363 days to travel around the sun; back then, they did not know this. Neither did they have the mathematics to calculate it! So, in order to track time very easily and compensate for the shifting of the lunar cycle, which is 28.3 days, give or take depending on the time of year, to fill up 365 days, an extra khodesh is added, WHEN THE BARLEY DOES NOT RIPEN after the 12th khodesh and before the next! Another khodesh is added at that point, and the barley is surely ripe after that one. So, after the 13th khodesh, the next “moon” would then be the FIRST KHODESH. This is actually very, very simple to do; it requires no math, no telescopes, no knowledge of the stars and the equinox, no knowledge of ‘conjunction moon,’ [which knowledge did not even exist until the 20th century] etc., and it is how it was done in the Temple times.

In the Temple, messengers were sent out in the last days of the 12th khodesh to look for the “renewed moon.” When they saw it, they would report back to the Sanhedrin; once two reliable, qualified witnesses reported the sighting of the crescent new moon, the new khodesh and new year were “Sanctified” by the blast of the Shofar. NOTHING ELSE WAS REQUIRED NOR USED!

The fact that they ‘observed’ the CRESCENT NEW MOON is recorded in multiple places in the Mishnah, the early writing down of Temple tradition. Every other kind of ‘calculation’ is of later invention and pagan influence! The Jews did NOT do so, NOT ONCE in recorded history, until LONG after Messiah.

In Tractate “Rosh HaShannah,” Perek 1 in Mishnah 9, we read:

מִי שְׁרֹאה אֵת הַחֹדֶשׁ

“He who sees the Khodesh [crescent new moon]…”

There are those who insist that the word “khodesh” means “month.” We cannot ‘see’ months. It is fine for English translations to use ‘month’ in certain context, to get the ‘general’ idea, but that is not what is communicated in Torah. There was no such thing as a fixed calendar ‘month’ in the Exodus, nor in the 1st Century Hebrew mind. Neither was the idea of a ‘hidden, conjuction moon’ known at that time! That did not come about until the mid-20th century AD! The “khodesh” was the new crescent, VISIBLE, and the remaining 28ish days of the cycle until the next one. We know this, because the Mishnah uses the word for crescent interchangeably with the word “khodesh.”

The Hebrew word for “moon” is יָּרֵחַ ‘Yare’akh,’ and not “khodesh” either. So, we are not simply looking at the moon, since Yare’akh is the orb of the ‘whole moon.’ Mishnah number 5 in the same tractate tells us the following:

“Whether the crescent was visible, or whether it was not manifestly visible,” in discussing the sighting of the crescent to sanctify the khodesh.

The word used for crescent here is בָּעַליל ba’alil.’ Note that it is NOT the word most ‘think’ means crescent and throw into this argument. They cite a verse that is speaking of pagan jewelry, and NOT of the crescent in the sky.

That verse is: Yesha-Yahu 3:18

בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא יָסִיר אֲדֹנָי, אֵת תִּפְאֶרֶת הָעֲכָסִים וְהַשְּׁבִיסִיםוְהַשַּׂהֲרֹנִים

“In that day, Adonai will take away the bravery of their anklets, and the fillets, and the crescents.”

That word is ‘saharonim,’ which is in the plural. We know the earth only has ONE crescent, so this is in NO WAY speaking of the moon itself. Yes, their pagan decorations were shaped like a crescent moon, but it is not what the Torah uses [Khodesh] nor is it what the Mishnah uses [Khodesh or Ba’alil]. It is NOT a sin to ‘see’ the khodesh, the ba’alil! It is what they did in the Temple, according to ancient Jewish, priestly authority.

Mishnah 7 in tractate Rosh HaShannah reads,

“If a father and his son SAW the Khodesh…”

In chapter 2 Mishnah 6, we read,

“Relate how you SAW the “whiteness” [of the moon], regarding sighting the new crescent.

In Mishnah 8 of this chapter we read:

“Rabbi Gamliel had diagrams of the moon on a tablet and on the wall of his upper chamber.”

He used these diagrams to make sure that every witness who went out to see the Khodesh, which was a great honor, would report correctly how they saw it, to prove they had actually seen it, and that they were not just trying to be the witness for the sake of their own honor.

So, over and over, from first century officials of the temple, we see that the ‘khodesh’ was a new ‘crescent’ sanctified by being SEEN by more than two witnesses, witnesses whose ‘sight’ was tested by the Sanhedrin.

Now, there are those who THINK the vernal equinox was used, but it was not. Nowhere in scripture is this even mentioned, though many have tried to write it into the Torah. Neither is it even hinted at in the Mishnah, in any way! This is the only extra-biblical document telling us how they actually sanctified the new “Khodesh” in temple times. And, ‘equinox’ is GLARINGLY ABSENT FROM IT and THE TORAH!

We have determined to do it the way ELOHIM, יהוה TZEVAOT has commanded it, and nothing else. He instructed Yisra’el to hold the Pesakh in the FIRST Khodesh, the CRESCENT MOON that happens with THE RIPENING of the Barley.

Exodus 13:4-5

This day you go forth in the month of THE Aviv. And it shall be when יהוה shall bring you into the land of the Kenaani, and the Khitti, and the Amori, and the Hivi, and the Yevusi, which He swore unto your fathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, that you shall keep this service in this khodesh.

Exodus 23:15

The feast of Matzot shall you keep; seven days you shall eat Matzot, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the Khodesh of THE Aviv–for in it you came out from Mitzrayim; and none shall appear before Me empty.

Exodus 34:18

The feast of Matzot shall you keep. Seven days you shall eat Matzot, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the khodesh of THE Aviv, for in the khodesh of THE Aviv you came out from Mitzrayim.

Deut 16:1

“Observe the khodesh of THE Aviv, and keep the Pesakh unto יהוה your Elohim; for in the khodesh of THE Aviv יהוה your Elohim brought you forth out of Mitzrayim by night.”

This is also to be the first khodesh, as stated previously. [Ex 12:2, Lev 23:5, et al]

You can see that יהוה does not even HINT at the equinox; which is fascinating, but it does not even get a nod in these scriptures where He repeats Himself about when to observe Pesach/Matzot.

Jews went to a CALCULATED calendar in the late 7th century; this was probably good at the time, because they could not see the barley and the moon in Yisra’el when they were scattered throughout the world. Or perhaps not all their local climates grew barley.

The calculated calendar they use was created by Hillel II, a non-Messianic Rabbi. He used the vernal equinox, the 365 day AND 354.37 day lunar year to ESTIMATE when a “leap month” was needed [what the near-ripened barley would do under the control of יהוה, adding an extra moon]. The calculated calendar has served Judaism well.  But it is still NOT what Elohim commanded.  “Do not follow a multitude into error.”  Given that we CAN observe both the khodesh and The Aviv, we should. Jews ARE back in the land, CAN see the Barley AND the New Crescent Moon, and can report it worldwide in SECONDS, so, we can even align ourselves with Yisra’el itself using modern technology to report it around the globe in seconds. Should we not obey יהוה? We have determined, for Bat-Tzion, that we should.

Some have said for the sake of unity we should not deviate from the calculated calendar. Well, we are far more concerned about our Unity with Elohim! And we are supposed to unify IN HIS COMMANDMENTS! Not in traditions for traditions’ sake, whether Jewish or Gentile traditions.

Do not be bewildered by what our Jewish People do, nor the popes, or intimidated into keeping the feasts according to man; the blindness and error of our Jewish people was used by Elohim to bring in the Gentile community into the house of Yisra’el, in order to provoke natural Yisra’el into following Torah, and not the traditions of the Rabbis. They are supposed to follow Messiah, we are NOT to follow them! They will follow Messiah; it will happen, “speedily, and soon, and in our day!” And we are a part of it!

A note on Pharisee Authority

Yeshua did indeed say, “The Scribes and Pharisees sit in the Seat of Moshe; therefore, in everything whatsoever they bid you observe, observe and do, but do NOT do THEIR works; for they say, and do not”.

Seat

This seems to tell us to follow the Rabbis, in spite of their error. But, what did Yeshua mean when He said “they sit in the Seat of Moshe?” Interestingly, this phrase has finally been unearthed in archeology! See the image above. The “Seat of Moshe” was the CHAIR in which the Synagogue’s readers of the Torah sat! So, ‘what they bid you “observe and do”’ is a Torah phrase meaning to keep the commandments of Elohim! Observe and do allude to the positive and negative commands. We “observe” negative commands, “do not bear false witness” and the like, but we DO positive commands, “Remember the Sabbath.” Yeshua is referring to the fact that these are the ones, the Scribes and the Pharisees, who are READING TORAH TO YOU WEEK AFTER WEEK! They’ SAY’ the Torah, but they do not DO the Torah! LISTEN WHEN THEY SPEAK FROM THE SEAT OF MOSHE! This is in STARK contrast to “their works,” not the least of which is the shifting of the dates of Pesakh, which Messiah clearly did not do!

Remembering Pesakh

I love me some good Matzah.

That’s my perspective as a human on the special bread we eat at Pesakh.

But, as one born of the Ru’akh of Elohim, I LOVE the Matzah that is Yeshua!

“Taste, and SEE that  יהוה  is good!” Tehilla 34:8

So many people refuse to observe the Pesakh, because some 1600-1700 years ago, when Gentiles became the majority of believers, and Rome divorced the believing gentile community from Judaism, and eventually murdered those Jews and Gentiles who would not submit, they have been told it is ‘unnecessary’ to keep the Pesakh.  And even WRONG to do so.

This is sad; because, while the true believers who remain victims of those errors DO get to participate in the true Body and Blood in spite of Rome, they never truly get to ‘taste’ the goodness of יהוה , the ‘sweetness’ of His commandments.  They read verses like Tehillah 19:8-11, and cannot ‘see’ the goodness of His Word, and that Yeshua embodies the commandments:

“The Torah of יהוה is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of יהוה is sure, making wise the simple.

The precepts of יהוה are right, rejoicing the heart; the Mitzvah of יהוה is pure, enlightening the eyes.

The fear of יהוה is clean, enduring forever; the ordinances of יהוה are true, they are righteous altogether;

More to be desired are they than gold, yes, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey, and the honeycomb.

This brief passage above is a clear description of Messiah Yeshua!  “Perfect, sure, right, pure, clean, true……” and Messiah does all those things these verses say Torah does, ‘restores the soul,’ makes wise the simple, etc.  Messiah Yeshua IS the Torah.

This passage is also a clear description of the GOODNESS of the Torah, the ‘instructions’ of the creator to mankind on how to live life.  Part of living life is enjoying His Pesakh!  Look how many chapters are devoted to it!  Exodus 4 through 15, and parts of many other books, and many verses in the Tehillim, and in all four gospels, with Yokhanan sharing Pesakh with us three times, and a huge part of Korinti’im Alef [1st Cor], and even the Hitaglut;  they all speak of Pesakh!

Our gentile Christian friends never truly get to ‘taste’ the fulness of Messiah and His Word as we are given in Pesakh.  They are AFRAID to, perhaps, because for thousands of years it has been hammered into their heads that keeping the Torah is death.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  “It is LIFE.”  Tehillah 19:8-11 is a brief version of 119.  It never ceases to amaze me how believers can read these passages and still dismiss the Torah, and not look into it and ‘see,’ and TASTE, that HE is GOOD!

Many people buy their Matzah for Pesakh.  We make ours.  Prayerfully.  And this year, the ‘taste’ of it just seemed ‘sweeter’ than ever.  But, more importantly, the ‘taste’ of Messiah at the Pesakh was sweeter than ever, since our Congregation is growing in the faith and in ‘brotherhood’, and becoming disciplined in studying His Word.

For me, personally, I ‘saw’ the Messiah the most in our children this year.  “Yeshua said to them, “Allow the little children to come to Me, and do not stop them, for Malkhut HaShamayim [the Kingdom of Heaven] is for such as these”.”  This is NOT to say that I did not see Messiah in our adults.  But, for me, I ‘saw’ Him very clearly in the JOY in our children.  In their willingness and DESIRE to ‘serve’ and participate.   First, they came and sang Ma Nishtana, “How different,”  a song containing the “Four Questions” of Pesakh.  They sang it so beautifully and enthusiastically, in Hebrew.  TOGETHER.  Then, when we read the four questions in English, I asked for ONE volunteer from among the little ones to read for us.  Almost all of them came to read!  IF ONLY there had been more than four questions!  I was moved to tears by their eager desire to participate.

When we read about the four sons, with the son who is unable to ‘ask’ about WHY we do Pesakh, my heart filled with compassion for children who cannot speak for themselves, and for children who are not even instructed about the Pesakh who may never get to ask, “Why do we do this?  Why is this night different from all other nights?”

This night is the night that Yeshua took Matzah, unleavened bread, and ‘broke’ it.  And He declared that His Body and His Blood He would give to us, so that we can be rescued from our sins.  This is the night that Yeshua washed the feet of His Talmidim.  This is the night that Yeshua prayed for US, those who would believe in Him because of those eleven Jewish men who stuck it out with Him in the Night of Watching.  This is the night He prayed, and sweated drops of blood while asking for strength to endure what He would endure the next day.  This is the night Yeshua was betrayed.  By Yisra’el.

And there are children who are not learning of Him in this way.  And all those children, and those children whose minds do not permit them to ask, flooded through my mind in that moment, and I nearly wept again.

The Pesakh employs all of our five senses, and children’s senses are more sharp.  They learn of Him so thoroughly in the Pesakh.  And when they came to search for the ‘Afikomen,’ the piece of Matzah that is taken out of the unity bag, wrapped in linen, and hidden, they did so together, joyfully.  They searched for Yeshua, the ‘Sweet Matzah,’ diligently.  And when I asked them about the search for Yeshua’s Body and the imagery of finding the Afikomen, one young boy rightfully declared, “He rose from the dead!”  They must have had a taste of the urgency of Miryam, “they have taken away Adoni, and I do not know where they have laid him.”  And a taste of her sheer joy when she found Him, “Rabuli!”  [my teacher!] The imagery was not wasted on me this year.  May they ever search for Him, while He may be found.

I remember realizing one year long ago as I read the scriptures, that the Passover must be replete with the imagery of Messiah Yeshua.  I remember wondering, “Why are we not doing this?”  Yeshua said this at His last Pesakh Seder:  “Do this, as often as you do it, to REMEMBER ME.”  He also said He would not drink wine again until He drinks it together with us!  Sha’ul added that, in keeping Pesakh and partaking of the Matzah, we “declare His death” until He comes.

Why must we declare His death?  We know it is His resurrection that proves He is Messiah.  But it is His death that is the moment we all heaped our sins on Him.  When He gave in to His death, that is when “He bore our sins.”  Sin killed Him.  NOT our Jewish people.  Yeshua surrendered to bearing the burden of our sins.  He had the power to rescue Himself.  He was, in a way, tempted to do so!  “Come down off of this tree and save yourself!” they mocked. But HE CHOSE to die.  This MUST be declared, as it was in Acts, 2, 3, 4, 9, 13, 14, and all throughout the world by those Jewish men who brought the B’sorah, the Good News of His Body, to the nations.

After having declared His Body and His Blood in the third cup, the ‘cup after supper’ that Yeshua took and blessed, we then got to see the imagery of the Resurrection, when our children found the Afikomen.  And then we got to anticipate the coming of Eliyahu to announce the return of our King.  Last year, when our boys opened the door, one of our members had been indisposed, and was standing in the doorway when it opened.  As he had not yet been given a Hebrew name, we now call him Eliyahu.  This year, thinking never to have such a moment again, especially since this year our door actually went outside of the venue, versus into a lobby as it did last year; surely no one would be standing there.  But, when the boys opened the door, last year’s Eliyahu was standing just to the right of it, and when the door opened, MY DAUGHTER was standing there!  She was trying to be discrete in her journey, and instead stood in the place of Eliyahu at just the perfect moment.  Eliyahu, when he comes, will turn the hearts of the children to their fathers, and the hearts of the fathers to their children.  I have always loved my children dearly.  But, even though they are now grown, and I am a grandfather, my heart yearns for my children, more than ever.  Seeing my own daughter standing there, sheepishly, brought me more joy.

After closing out the seder, we then danced and sang more heartily than I can ever remember.  The rejoicing on the faces of both our members and guests betrayed the awe that was in all our hearts.  And then, our men gathered at the Synagogue for a night of watching, and we read and sang first the Hallel [Ps 113-118, 136], as Yeshua did, [Matti 26:30, Mar 14:26], then the songs of Ascent, and then each man present read his ‘favorite’ chapter[s] of Tehillim.  We then fellowshipped, and sang other songs until morning broke into a beautiful day.

This Pesakh will always be remembered.  The Seder is ALWAYS special, but this one was highly desired and anticipated, even ‘fought for,’ and it did not disappoint.  Getting up to it, my dear brother pointed out, was like the ‘birthpangs’, but the joy of ‘breaking through’ and seeing the Light of Messiah afresh, and tasting of HIM, touching Him, makes the memory of it nothing but sweet.  We often hear of SALVATION as a result of our Seders, and healings, and reconciliations.  I cannot wait until we hear of the power displayed by Messiah as the result of this latest Pesakh Seder, where the Matzah was broken.  I invite all to plan and prepare to come to our Seder next year!

“Taste, and SEE that  יהוה  is good!” Tehilla 34:8
